Introducing Our Book Bins!

Today was a very important day in First Grade! Each student pledged to take good care of the books in our classroom and were given their Book Bins for the first time.  The students had a wonderful time reading the books that were selected for them.  Ask your child to tell you all about reading in First Grade!

New School Year...Beautiful New Beginnings!

Our Academy Garden is in full bloom, just in time for the new school year to begin.  We've been having lots of fun getting to know each other and look forward to growing together this year, in First Grade!

We're Off to a Fantastic Start in Room 116!

       The beginning of the school year is always an exciting time! We are getting to know each other, establishing a strong classroom community, and learning our daily routines.  I am so impressed with how well the students are transitioning from Kindergartners to First Graders!

Welcome Back to School...First Grade Social!

We finished off a fantastic first week of school with a our First Grade Social!  All three first grade classes got together to have a yummy treat and play together.  We all had lots of fun and are excited for a great school year!
