Valentine's Day Fun with my 17 Sweethearts!

We had such a lovely Valentine's Day together that we celebrated for two days in a row!  A big thank you to all of our wonderful first grade families for bringing in special Valentines!  It was so great having everyone participate and everyone loved their Valentines!  We also had a fantastic party on Friday and it was the perfect way to end our week together before our February Break!  We hope you enjoy looking at all of the fun things we did together!

Mr. B came to do a Valentine's Day Read Aloud!

We all loved the books he chose to read to us!

We had such a great time doing a Valentine's Day Arts and Crafts Activity for our families!

Thank you Jen and Cooper for all of your help with our Valentine's Day Crafts!

Thank you Allegra for making such a yummy Valentine's Day Snack for us!

We also made Valentine's Day Envelopes for collecting our Valentines to each other.

Look at all of the Valentine's Day Goodies!

I had lots of fun making homemade Valentines for my kiddos!

We even had Valentine's Day fun during math!  We sorted conversation hearts and graphed our findings!

We also wrote poems about what love tastes like,  looks like, smells like and feels like!  They also wrote about what love means to them and drew a picture to go along with their writing.  They did a great job!

We all made Get Well Cards for our amazing Custodian Paul and hope they let him know how much we all appreciate and love him!

We also had fun working with blends during our Valentine's Day Fundations Lesson!  The students made both Real and Nonsense Words with the hearts and recorded them on their Making Hearts Worksheet.

We all had a blast at our Valentine's Day Party! Thank you to all of the parents, siblings, and friends who joined us for our celebration and for bringing in special treats for us! We sure are lucky!

In addition to eating all of the yummy treats, the students had fun doing Valentine's Day Centers and listening to me read the book, The Biggest Valentine Ever!

We sure do love being together in First Grade!

The students loved the 100 M&M Graphing Activity

They all did a great job reading 100 Sight Words!

They also worked hard to solve the Mystery 100s Chart Activity

The students wrote about what they would do if they had $100!

The students also worked cooperatively to make designs with 100 Pattern Blocks.  They came out great!
