As part of our States of Matter Science Unit, we went on a Field Trip to Lilac Ridge Farm to learn about the maple sugaring process. We had such a wonderful time at the farm and would like to thank the following people from Lilac Ridge for making our field trip such a great success: Farmer Amanda, Farmer Maive, Grandma Farmer, and Grandpa Farmer. Of course we also need to thank Maggie the dog for being such a sweetheart to all of us as well! Our Chaperones were also fantastic and we would like to thank the following people for coming with us: Tabby, Anne, Allegra, Dan, Bob, Wes, Mary, and Mrs. Palmeri. We had such a fun time with all of you and loved learning about how Maple Sugaring goes through all three phases of matter - solid, liquid, and gas! We can't wait to have more of the delicious maple syrup when we do our Pancake Science Experiment next week!
